 Of all the requests we get for badges for specific destinations, Half Dome is at the top of the list. Maybe it gets so much love because folks can hike up the easy side (with the aid of two cables run like handrails for the last few hundred feet to the summit), or have your choice of multiple challenging big wall routes on the other side. Here the most revered names in climbing made Yosemite Valley the center of the big-wall universe. Here, Royal Robbins set bolts and founded initial routes still followed today. Here, Yvon Chouinard pioneered clean climbing. Now it reverently fits on your chalk bag.

Have bought your badges ever time we go camping. Big hit with the kids. Half Dome has been long awaited, a right of passage in our family. My husband and I did it twice when we were younger and now our grandsons want to go.
